Round 10 of this year's FIM Superbike World Championship at the Cremona Circuit is another home race for Dominique Aegerter, but for his Kawasaki WorldSSP Team, it’s their true home race. So, the rider and the team can therefore expect numerous visits from sponsors and a large turnout of fans.

This weekend, the Cremona Circuit in northern Italy will host a World Superbike Championship event for the third time. The track has been modified and expanded for this series and now features modern facilities. The track layout itself is technically challenging. Over the course of a lap, riders must navigate 13 turns, many of which include fast and flowing sections. Overall, the Cremona Circuit offers an excellent mix of high-speed sections and challenging turns that put the riders to the test.
 
Not least because the circuit is located near the base of his Kawasaki WorldSSP team, Dominique Aegerter has been in Cremona several times over the past few months with his team to complete multi-day test sessions there. Despite extreme heat each time, they were able to achieve positive results, which is why the 35-year-old Swiss rider is looking forward to the upcoming challenges with confidence and believes he has a good chance of still turning things around this season this weekend.

«I’ve been feeling a a bit weak since last week. It’s nothing serious, just a slight fever, but I hope to have recovered by the start of the weekend. Still, I’m looking forward to Cremona, another home race for me. But more than that: it’s the team’s true home race, since their workshop is just an hour away from the track. We’ve already been to the Cremona Circuit a few times this summer for testing. That means we have a lot of data from it. That should make the start of the weekend a little easier for us. But as I said, by then I hope to be fully fit again, because I really want to be. The track’s layout is a lot of fun riding a 600cc Supersport bike there. I’m sure lots of sponsors will come again to visit us and cheer us on. That’s why I want to put in strong performances. As always, that’s our goal. If we can start with a good free practice session on Friday and then step it up a notch in Superpole, hopefully the rest will fall into place a bit more easily.»
