Dominique Aegerter is hoping for a turnaround in his racing luck this weekend at the traditional Donington Park circuit in England.

The fifth stop of the current FIM Superbike World Championship brings the world’s elite of the production-based series to the East Midlands of England. The selective track at Donington Park has been a regular on the racing calendar for many years.

33-year-old Dominique Aegerter is hungry for success after failing to score any points at the last event in Misano one month ago. Two technical failures in the main races were mainly responsible for this. So, the ambitious athlete form Switzerland and his crew from the GYTR GRT Yamaha WorldSBK Team are therefore keen to make amends.

"It is another four weeks until the championship continues at Donington. But now, with Most, we have «Back-to-Back» races which is nice and that should actually be the case more often. But it is what it is and before that I am looking forward to Donington because I like this track. It is simply fantastic, even if it is a bit «old school» although, you have everything in one lap, with chicanes, lots of elevation changes and slow and fast corners, some of which require a bit of effort. Last year, I started from the second row and finished in the top 10 once."

"I am ready for the tasks ahead and hope that luck will be on our side from this weekend, because we have been a bit short of it so far this season. Last week, I was in Jerez at a super great event called «Yamaha Experience Days». There were some unforgettable moments for me, like riding with Valentino Rossi on track and also with some old legendary two-stroke race bikes. But now I am really looking forward to Donington. I am highly motivated, physically in best shape and above all I am looking forward to seeing my team again. Hopefully the weather will also play along so that we can really go full gas and give the fans a great weekend."
