A viral infection prevented Dominique Aegerter from continuing his pre-season preparations on track with a two-day test in Jerez de la Frontera in southern Spain.

After the long winter break, Dominique Aegerter was forced to sit out the first test of the new year in Jerez this week, after being diagnosed with a viral infection on arrival in Spain. Aegerter will also miss the tw-day test in Portima early next week, instead following medical advice to return home to Switzerland and focus fully on his recovery ahead of the championship's opening round in Australia, which takes place one month from now.
