After a difficult first race in Portimao, Dominique Aegerter will make up for the big party at another time.

Dominique Aegerter didn't really get into the mood to celebrate his 33rd birthday. First, he couldn't get past 17th on the grid in Superpole and in race one of the weekend over the long distance he had to settle for two points in 14th place.

The second last race weekend of the season will conclude on Sunday with the Superpole Race and the second main race starting at 15:00 CEST. ServusTV and Eurosport will provide live and comprehensive coverage from Portugal.

"Qualifying did not go according to my expectations at all. It ended very disappointingly with 17th place, even though the gap was not that big. Still, I had expected more. The race was very difficult because I struggled in overtaking. It also always depends from where you start from, because when you are riding behind other manufacturers it is hard to find your own rhythm."

"We will continue to work and try to improve slightly so we can be more competitive. Besides, Portimao is not the easiest track for me. On my birthday, I certainly would have liked a nicer result. Nevertheless, many thanks for all the birthday wishes, today will be a bit more stressful. But the real party does not start until November 4th."
