Round nine of this year’s FIM Superbike World Championship marks not only the end of a long summer break, but also the beginning of the final quarter of the series.

After almost six weeks without a race bike, Dominique Aegerter hardly can wait for the next race weekend. The trip this weekend takes him to the Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours in Burgundy, about 3 hours by car southeast of Paris. Aegerter knows the 4.4-kilometer track from the last two years as a rider in Supersport category.

As usual, the weekend gets kicked-off on Friday with two free practice sessions at 10:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., followed by the third free practice session on Saturday morning, as well as the decisive Superpole qualifying session on Saturday morning and the first main race at 2:00 p.m. at the same day in the afternoon. Sunday's schedule includes the sprint race at the normal time of 11:00 am. The second main race of the weekend will not start until 15:15 this time. In addition to the live stream at worldsbk.com, Eurosport will broadcast both main races live in free TV. ServusTV, on the other hand, has a recording in its program on Saturday and will be live on Sunday.

"After five long weeks, we finally return to racing at Magny-Cours in France. I have known the track since I switched to Supersport World Championship. I like the layout and also have good memories from the last two years when I was able to celebrate some successes. The first section dof the track is very fast and flowing though, then there are some very hard brakings. There are also a few elevation changes in one lap. But I am really looking forward to racing at Magny-Cours again."

"My summer break was almost too long for me, but it was also good for me to switch off a bit. In any case, the vacation was longer than expected. But now I am happy to see my bike again and of course my team. The goal for the rest of the season is to improve again and finishing consistently in the top 10. Hopefully we will be fast again and achieve our targeted results."
