#DA77: NEXT STOP: DOWN UNDER

Apart from the nice circuit at Phillip Island, the Australian Grand Prix has many more sightseeing’s to offer and therefore this championship round attracts many people of the paddock family and beyond.

The series continues this weekend without a break. Dominique Aegerter arrived well after another long-haul trip coming from Japan earlier this week. Last Sunday’s result when the Swiss rider finished in the points gave his entire Kiefer Racing team a boost. Aegerter, meanwhile, has recovered well during the days off after arrival in Melbourne and therefore he is confident going into the third last race of the season. Unlike the stop-and-go circuit in Japan, the Phillip Island track offers a faster and more flowing layout. The Grand Prix circuit at the small island approximately 150 km in the south of Melbourne allows one of the highest average speeds at all.

However, the Australian Grand Prix is somehow a nightmare for the fans in Europe. The race weekend’s time schedule starts shortly after midnight and ends in the early morning CET every day. The nine-hour time difference to Central Europe will be added by one more hour Saturday night due to the change from summer to winter time.

#77 Dominique AEGERTER (Kiefer Racing), Championship position 17th (30 points):

"I always like to be in Australia. The track itself and everything around Phillip Island is also very nice. Therefore, I like this grand prix a lot and that’s why I’m feeling ready to start the weekend. We will try to continue at the point we left off in Japan. This means that we want to finish every session in the top 15 and finishing the race in the points again but this Sunday it should happen by oneself. That would be very important for all of us."
