#JapaneseGP: THE WEEKEND STARTS WITH CHANGEABLE WEATHER

#DA77: JAPANESE ROUND STARTS WITH CHANGEABLE WEATHER

Rainy conditions on Friday shook Dominique Aegerter’s plan for the opening day at Motegi’s tricky Twin Ring.

Constantly changing track conditions due to light rain were the reason why Dominique Aegerter couldn’t do so many laps during the first and second free practice. In unfavourable conditions, therefore, the experienced Swiss rider played out his Motegi knowledge and preferences for this stop-and-go circuit to close Friday’s action in P13, just a bit more than one second off the day’s best time.

#77 Dominique AEGERTER (Kiefer Racing), FP1: P23 - 2´01.863 (7/7) / FP2: P13 - 1´53.263 (10/13):

"It’s a pity, of course, that we were not able to do more laps today. In the morning, I did only two or three timed laps and during FP2 in the afternoon the track was dry for ten laps at least. But the conditions weren’t better at all. There are still three second left for really fast lap times here. We will work to go faster of course, but first, the track conditions have to improve a lot. Apart from that, there is room for improvements under braking. So, if we will be able to make this step then we definitely can get more closer to the front. Regarding the weather, there should be no problems in the next days."
