#ThaiGP: PREMIERE IN THAILAND

PREMIERE IN THAILAND

With this weekend’s grand prix at Buriram’s Chang International Circuit, the championship enters new territory.

Not only Dominique and Kiefer Racing are looking forward to the series’ first ever race in Thailand, but also the entire paddock more highly excited to the southeast Asian country. Normally, Thailand is well known as a holiday destination due its beautiful beaches. But the new race track in Buriram is located in the middle of the country, about 400 kilometres northeast of Bangkok. Two World Superbike meetings have been held there already whilst the two smaller categories in grand prix racing are entering a new circuit this weekend. MotoGP class also had a three-day testing there earlier this year in February. In any case, the echo about the complex was very positive already after the Superbike series visits to Buriram.

Due to the same prospects for all, since no one of the current permanent entries in Moto2™ category has been in Buriram already, Dominique Aegerter hopes that he could shine in front of huge fan crowd who have travelled from Switzerland to Thailand as well as to be able to take the next step forward that have been expected since a while.

#77 Dominique AEGERTER (Kiefer Racing), Championship position 17th (27 points):

"Particularly, Thailand is nothing new for me, but for this weekend I’m really excited. After the first sighting of the track, I’m quite thrilled. I did a few laps running around the track therefore, I think this layout should suite my riding well. In addition, I’ve been watching many videos from the Superbike races in Buriram, as well as we studied and analysed the data from Supersport class in detail. In this regard, I just have tried to prepare myself for this race in the best possible way. Although we are now far from Europe, I can count on the support of many fans from Switzerland this weekend. Beyond that, my mother and my brother are coming too, accompanied by many friends from my home. Therefore, I strongly hope that we will have a strong weekend once again because I would like to embellish these many fans their vacation additionally."
