#GermanGP: POSITIVE CONCLUSION OF THE TEAM’S HOME RACE

#DA77: POSITIVE CONCLUSION OF THE TEAM’S HOME RACE

Dominique Aegerter shone in Sunday’s race at the Sachsenring with an incredible consistency, which was ultimately the key for two more championship points.

This year’s round nine, by the way the last race before the summer break, was characterized by hot weather. These circumstances led to massive grip issues at the hilly track in Germany’s Saxony state. During the long distance with 28 laps, Dominique Aegerter was able to tame his bike just with utmost efforts. When crossing the line in 14th place, the 27-year-old from Switzerland and his German team were rewarded with two points for his tally.

The series returns to action at the first weekend in August with its traditionally visit to the Brno circuit in the Czech Republic.

#77 Dominique AEGERTER (Kiefer Racing), 14th - Championship position 16th (24 points):

"On the positive side, we leave this race with another two points. But honestly, we benefited from a few retirements. It was an incredibly tough race because it was that difficult to stay on the bike at all. The bike went more with me than that I could it ride in a proper way. As seen, there were many crashes and I didn’t want to crash too as all these unlucky colleagues. Nevertheless, I was always at the absolute limit to be able to keep up with my group, which ultimately fought for seventh position. To head into the summer break with a top ten result would have been good for us. But that wasn’t enough. We will take the experience from today and all data from this race and keep working hard to move forward in the second half of the season. The whole team around me is always trying the best. But we have to look ahead in positive mind and start preparing for Brno right now."
