#DutchGP: NOT COMPLETELY SATISFIED WITH DAY TWO IMPROVEMENTS

NOT COMPLETELY SATISFIED WITH DAY TWO IMPROVEMENTS

Even if Dominique Aegerter was able to shorten the gap to the frontrunners during Saturday’s qualifying, the Swiss rider faces a big task ahead of him coming from P21 on the starting grid.

Unusually stable weather conditions with warm temperatures for the northern part of the Netherlands this weekend played an important role to set up the bike as well as for tyre choice. Dominique Aegerter made already during FP3 in the morning good progress but in the all-important qualifying, however, it took until the final stages of the session for the 27-year-old to find his rhythm and speed to put in his best effort just in the very last minute.

Race start is scheduled as usual for Sunday 12:20 pm CET.

#77 Dominique AEGERTER (Kiefer Racing), Grid position 21st - 1´38.433 (20/20):

"During FP3 we have taken an important step. This was the base that we were able to improve significantly in terms of lap times. In doing so, we also have reduced the gab to 0.8 second off the pole time. But that’s all positives from today. Our starting position is disappointing again. When I saw my lap time on the display, I actually thought that we would end up in the fifth row at least. That’s why I’m really disappointed. We just have to work on positions more towards the front during free practice sessions in order to be better prepared for qualifying and then to put in this one hot lap. I hope that we can make another step for the race like we did for qualifying. In the race, there will certainly be a huge fight for the points and of course I want to play my role in this."
