OK START ON A RAINY FRIDAY IN ARAGÓN

Dominique Aegerter concluded the opening day just outside the top ten under normal circumstances in the afternoon.

After hot weather on the previous days, a rain front brought cooler temperatures and some rain to the region of Aragón. So, this means that both Friday’s sessions took place under mixed conditions. Swiss rider Dominique Aegerter still struggles to get even more familiarized with the five kilometres long Spanish circuit aboard his Suter bike.

#77 Dominique AEGERTER (Kiefer Racing, Suter MMX2), FP1: P29 - 2´13.513 (5/12) / FP2: P12 - 1´55.844 (18/20):

"This morning, we did not get crazy because of the mixed conditions. When the rain becomes heavier during the course of FP1, we already had used our tyres quite a lot. Nevertheless, I had a good feeling on the wet track straight away. The afternoon session, however, went in the opposite way. First it was still wet but we went out on track with slick tyres immediately and later we tried both options for this weekend. We still have work ahead of us, of course, as we struggle with some issues in corner entry at the moment."

"Apart from this fact, this track is not easy for me, I always do a bit harder. In addition, I have to adapt with the Suter bike even more to this kind of track. For tomorrow, we plan a race simulation in order to create the base for race day. In addition, the weather should be better and then is also more rubber on the tarmac which means that the lap times will be faster tomorrow. However, a grid position in the first three row remains our goal for Saturday."
